The Philosophy Program at the University of West Georgia (Carrollton, GA) is seeking a part-time instructor to teach two sections of Critical Thinking in the fall semester (MW schedule). We are also looking for a part-time instructor to teach one section of Ethics and one of World Religions in fall (TR schedule). There will likely be opportunities to teach courses in the spring semester as well. Applicants should have completed at least 18 hours of graduate course work in philosophy. Lecturer Position at University of West Georgia
The University of West Georgia Philosophy Program invites applications for a Lecturer position beginning August 2016. Annually renewable based on satisfactory performance evaluation. AOS and AOC open but the department has interest in Philosophy of Race or Asian Philosophy. Five-four teaching load includes lower-division Introduction to Philosophy and Critical Thinking courses, with the possibility of lower-division Introduction to Ethics courses and an occasional upper-division course as needed.
Candidates must have Ph.D. in philosophy at time of appointment and demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching. Semester calendar. AA/EOE. Should you be recommended for a position, University System of Georgia Board of Regents policy requires the completion of a background check as a prior condition of employment.
